Every voice actor remembers the project that made them realize they were capable of more than they thought possible.

For me, that project was narrating Bloodbound Cycle One, Bloodbound Cycle Two, and Deathborn Book Three: Threatened by Morgan Rice.

I still remember submitting my audition and hoping for the best. Like most auditions, once I hit send, I tried not to think about it too much. Then came the news that I had been cast, and I was absolutely thrilled. Getting the opportunity to bring these stories to life felt like a major milestone in my voice acting career.

What made these projects especially rewarding was the amount of creativity I was allowed throughout the process. Narrating fantasy requires so much more than simply reading words on a page. Every character needs their own personality, voice, emotions, and energy. Every scene has to feel alive. I was able to explore different character choices, experiment with performances, and truly immerse myself in the world of the story.

Fantasy has always been one of my favorite genres to read, so being able to narrate books in a genre I genuinely love made the experience even more meaningful. There's something special about stepping into worlds filled with danger, adventure, mystery, and unforgettable characters. As a narrator, it gives you countless opportunities to stretch your imagination and your performance skills.

These books challenged me in all the right ways. They pushed me to improve my pacing, character differentiation, emotional range, and storytelling abilities. Looking back, I can honestly say they elevated my work and helped me become a stronger narrator.

They were also the highest-paying voice acting projects I had booked at that point in my career, which made the accomplishment even sweeter. As freelancers and artists, we often spend years building our skills before seeing larger opportunities come our way. Being trusted with these projects felt like proof that the hard work, auditions, training, and persistence were paying off.

More than anything, these books reminded me why I fell in love with voice acting in the first place. There's nothing quite like taking a story from the page and bringing it to life for listeners around the world.

I'll always be grateful for the opportunity to work on Bloodbound Cycle One, Bloodbound Cycle Two, and Deathborn Book Three: Threatened. They remain some of the most exciting and rewarding projects of my career so far, and they'll always hold a special place in my journey as a narrator.
